Week of US Presidents

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

As the whole world focused on America’s Inauguration Day last week, we asked you about the out-going and in-coming Presidents, George W Bush and Barack Obama.

As we know, the former President’s mangling of language quickly became known as ‘Bush-isms’ and they continued right to the end of his second term.

So we gave you a list of five to choose from - and ‘They mis-underestimated me’ was a clear winner with 34% of you, followed by the more naff ‘Thank you, your Holiness. Awesome speech’ garnering 22%.

In contrast, nearly 60% of you believe the greatest challenge ahead for new President Obama is the US economy…

While more than 70% are sure that he will honour his commitment to close Guantanamo Bay within 12 months.
